50th ANSAP Annual Convention: Raising the Bar of Clinical Practice in the Philippines

As part of its continuous effort to mobilize nursing professionals across the country, the Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines, Inc. (ANSAP) held its 50th Annual Convention on March 17 at the Manila Hotel.

Over 1,500 chief nursing officers, managers, and staff from across the country gathered to share expertise and learn about the latest innovations in practices and models of care. The theme of the Golden Anniversary convention, “Nursing Leadership of the 21st Century: Power of the Past, Force of the Present, and Shape of the Future,” revolved around the call for collaboration and integration of “the lessons from the past, the innovations of the present, and the ideals for our future.”

As the organization’s main convention partner, B. Braun Medical Supplies, Inc. (BMSPH) took the opportunity to raise awareness on the common risks that healthcare practitioners encounter in their everyday practice, specifically in IV cannulation. Participants were invited to interact with the activity wall in the B. Braun booth, wherein they were invited to place stickers to the spaces corresponding to the complications they find most troublesome. The informative wall also featured the consequences of these problems and the possible solutions to these, all linked to the features of the Introcan Safety® 3.

The activity focused mainly on making healthcare practitioners understand that most of the common risks and problems that they’ve grown accustomed to and have accepted as part of their practices may actually be circumvented with better innovative devices, such as Introcan Safety® 3. With B. Braun’s product innovations and its close partnership with ANSAP, it aims to continuously provide progressive solutions and encourage further innovation in models of care—to make way for a bright future of nursing leadership and ultimately to raise the bar of clinical practice in the Philippines.
