B. Braun Avitum Philippines Granting Wishes for Christmas

B. Braun Avitum Philippines announced the resumption of its yearly Christmas campaign by partnering with Make-A-Wish Foundation Philippines to grant wishes and bring happiness to children with its B. Braun Cares, B. Braun Bears Program – a B. Braun for Children fundraising initiative.

Several hundred B. Braun Bears were produced which marked the partnership of B. Braun Avitum and Make-A-Wish Foundation in the Philippines which already contributed to the cause of the latter’s Foundation in granting wishes to children with critical illnesses.
The B. Braun Bears, which carries a “B. Braun Cares” logo by B. Braun Avitum Philippines as well as the logo of Make-A-Wish Foundation, were sold to and adopted by B. Braun employees as part of the fundraising program which granted a multifaceted set of beneficiaries primarily focused on dialysis patients and less fortunate children.

Part of the funds raised for the program were granted to the dialysis treatment of indigent patients being treated in B. Braun Dialysis Centers in the Philippines. After being hit with the pandemic, the gift of free treatments surely has brought joy to the patients in need.

In the true spirit of Christmas, the funds raised also granted the company the opportunity to give donations along with the B. Braun Bears as gifts to the orphans of Bahay ni San Jose Orphanage and its affiliates, Bethany House Sto. Niňo Orphanage and St. Joseph Home for Special Children. These orphanages, which are run by the Dominican Sisters of St. Joseph, house and educate a total of 118 children who were neglected, abandoned and orphaned at a young age. One of the orphanages also housed children with special needs.

Witnessing the smiles on the children’s faces as they received the B. Braun Bears for Christmas was a touching moment for the company. Bringing joy into their hearts certainly was one of the best ways to end an eventful year for B. Braun Avitum Philippines.
