B. Braun Philippines commemorated International Women’s Day (IWD) with a refreshed and meaningful program that honored the remarkable women leaders shaping our organization today.
The event highlighted the leadership journeys and lived experiences of BBPH women who continue to champion healthcare innovation, foster inclusive workplaces, and build a more sustainable future. We were privileged to learn from our distinguished Executive Committee women leaders.
Leadership Journeys That Inspire
Ms. Maita Mariano – Head of Marketing & Head of Sales Avitum
Ms. Maita spoke about the power of showing up fully and authentically—without overthinking or holding back. She emphasized that courage, presence, and professionalism enable women to make meaningful impact in their roles.
Her message was simple yet empowering: “Be yourself. Don’t overthink. Show up, be free, and be professional in everything you do.”
Ms. Je-An Ovilla – Head of Country HR & Head of Admin
Ms. Je-An shared a leadership philosophy grounded in sincerity, empathy, and genuine care. She explained that leadership goes beyond authority—it is about understanding people, recognizing their motivations, and supporting their growth with honesty and compassion.
She hopes to be remembered as “a leader with a heart—sincere, honest, and committed to helping others grow.”
Atty. Maria Cheryl Ann Gabo – Legal & Compliance Manager
Atty. Gabs highlighted integrity as a leader’s most enduring legacy. For her, true leadership is reflected in consistently upholding ethical principles, even when no one is watching.
Her aspiration: “To leave behind a workplace filled with individuals who choose integrity every day.”
Building an Inclusive and Sustainable BBPH
The reflections shared during the session reaffirmed a powerful truth:
Leadership is not only about excellence—it is about lifting others, mentoring, and creating spaces where people can thrive.
When women flourish, organizations grow stronger, more resilient, and future‑ready.
A significant part of the program centered on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). At B. Braun, DEI is not merely a policy—it is a mindset, a commitment, and a continuous practice embedded in the Social Pillar of our Sustainability Program.
This year also marked the introduction of BBPH Voices, a refreshed platform designed to amplify employee stories and lived experiences. Starting with this IWD session, the initiative aims to strengthen connection, belonging, and shared learning across the organization.
Aligned with the IWD 2026 theme, “Give to Gain,” the celebration reminded us that every act of support and empowerment creates ripples—lifting individuals, strengthening teams, and enriching our communities.
As we move ahead, may we continue championing inclusion, uplifting one another, and creating a workplace where every voice is heard and every woman can thrive. Together, we can build a BBPH that grows stronger through shared purpose and collective empowerment.
